MYSIA. Pergamon. Circa 166-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 33 mm, 12.53 g, 12 h), circa 150-140. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; to left, monogram of ΠΕΡΓ; to right, thyrsos. Kleiner & Noe Series 24a. SNG Copenhagen 407. SNG Paris 1707. Sharply struck and perfectly centered on an exceptionally large flan. Very minor pitting and with a few faint scratches, otherwise, extremely fine.
